At Mobile Tyres Shop, we believe no tyre should cost the earth.  So, when we fit your new tyres, we take the old ones away and recycle them for you – for free.

Why don’t we charge a disposal fee like many of the other big tyre retailers?

Because we recognise that from their manufacture to their disposal, tyres can have a significant impact on our environment and, as tyre retailers, it’s our responsibility to do all we can to reduce that impact.  Instead of being burnt, every tyre that Mobile Tyre shop changes goes into making new products such as playground surfaces and insulation, or something else that plays a positive role in our future.

The sustainability program is supported by government and industry, and plays an active role in reducing the volume of end of life tyres reducing the volume of end of life tyres currently being disposed of in a manner which is damaging to the environment i.e. via landfill, illegal dumping or undesirable export.

The outcome is to increase the recycling rate through the promotion of economic uses of the resulting recycled feed-stock of such tyres.  The immediate aim of the TSA’s Tyre Product Stewardship Scheme is to increase Australia’s tyre recycling rate to 50 per cent over five years.  Mobile Tyre Shop is committed to only using TSA accredited recyclers and collectors.  This is to support the sustainable use of used tyres, a service we proudly provide for our customers absolutely free.
